 been painting all day.first fine day for ages,only one more coat to go!  I did manage to plant 3 large trays of seed on saterday and with luck 3 more tomorrow

up the back

 ever since we came here we have wanted to to clear an area of gorse that is right up the back of the property.It's very private,quiet,and has a micro climate that is warmer than the rest of the farm.Well i have started that mission and now we can see the lay of the land which turns out to be truly amaising.next time i go up there i"ll take the blogie up with me and shoot some footage cause it"s really worth seeing.

Mud glorious mud

 It's hard to stay focused when all around you is endless wet soggy ground and mud.  The chickens are knee deep in it (if they had knees) the lambs are foot sore and so are their mums, but the garlic is growing regardless as the ground is luckily very free draining...  so their is always a bright side to everything. Next blog will be pics of the garlic and how we went about it.....just has to stop raining long enough for us to photograph it...mud glorious mud....

The first lambs are born

 It's always when the weather is bad that the lambs start to be born.  This year is no different.  These are our first twins, and it looks like plently more lambs are on the way so we'll keep the video rolling.  It always takes a day or two to get the sharing worked out with twins.  Mum can only feed one from each side as she has only two nipples unlike cows that have four so there is always a bit of push and shove till its worked out.
