Having been away on holiday for a week we have come back to see a huge burst of new growth in the grass and generally everywhere! It's always a relief to see the change - you know the animals will be getting plenty to eat and its always exciting to see the buds on the fruit trees...

When the resident farm dog is still scared of sheep and won't even enter the paddock - you may have to resort to desperate measures, like Country Calendar. Why not - you never know your luck.
He seemed quite impressed with the show at the sheep dog trials. Maybe the language was totally understandable with all those dogs barking and herding. We live in hope......sheep dog sounds much better than chicken dog...but we love him anyway.
finished transporting the glasshouse home,luckily no police on the road as the wood was sticking over the back of the trailer at least 4 metres !.picked up 2 damson plum trees from Forbidden Fruits Nurseries and was given a blackboy peach for free ,thank you Benji &Laura.came home and put them in the ground,so two new varities of fruit in the orchard.I just love planting trees.
for 2 years i've been driving past this old glasshouse,you know the type,once painted white,now flaky white with lots of mould.Just the bones of the structure,glass long gone.So last week I plucked up the courage and went and knocked on the onwers door.Can"t afford to pay you any money but if you want that old eyesore gone i"m keen to take it off your hands,and what do you know they said yes.YAHOO!!!! So today me and my mate went down there and started to dismantle it prior to hauling home where we"ll we will re-erect it and wrap it in plastic giving us a really large space to do our propagation ,seed starting and just growing stuff in a warm...
