Hello Down at the farm, We were extremely pleased to discover your manuka smoked salt, we use it in most of our cooking particularly on bbq’s here in Dubai. The last time we came to Mangawhai we also purchased the manuka smoked chili salt which is equally as good. I’ve tasted nothing like this in my travels and feel it is unique to New Zealand given the manuka smoked flavor. Many folk here is Dubai ask about it so we’ll have to bring some back on out next visit to New Zealand Coupled with this your chutneys from the Get Pickled range are very good, we have tried the Feijoa chutney, Apple and Onion marmalata. Here we are with our garlic crop planted. Those cloves started sprouting green shoots about a month ago saying 'plant me'... so we have. That is normal for garlic...so imagine my horror when I learnt that commercial garlic growers in New Zealand innoculate garlic bulbs to stop them reproducing !!
What do they innoculate them with ? Does anyone know ? I would love to find out...so please if you know send us a message.

Fresh garlic will be out of the ground pre Christmas !! all going well, which of course there is no guarantee when farming it could all get wiped out in flood !!! but we certainly hope not...
We had the field cut and bailed the other day - it took all of half an hour lol. Our place is not as large (or as flat) as many of the farms in our area.
